Moratti receives award for Inter Campus
Posted On Thursday, October 23, 2008 at at 6:29 AM by YOPINTER 2VIAREGGIO - "I'm honoured and proud to receive this award. All of Inter has worked for this and I have the pleasure of sharing it with all of Inter." With these words, Massimo Moratti accepted a special award for the club's Inter Campus project at an event staged by the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities.
The award, given to Inter Campus as "an example of integration of intercultural dialogue", was presented to the Inter president at the Politeama Theatre in Viareggio on Friday evening.
"We have been doing Inter Campus for years, and the sole purpose of the project is social work," explained Moratti. "It's not an investment of the youth academy, it's an activity that was born out of instinct and that has been carried forward with professionalism and passion by a really exceptional group of people.
"Mario Balotelli is the result of an investment made through the youth academy, but with Inter Campus we don't look for talents. With our experience and in the name of Inter, which can open many doors, we try to support those who work for children in the world's most peripheral areas."
A clip of Petites historias das crianças, a ninety-minute docufilm about Inter Campus, conceived and directed by Gabriele Salvatores, Guido Lazzarini and Fabio Scamoni with the support of Red House Productions, was screened before the award presentation.
